Deputy Chief Executive - Property Care Association (PCA)
James Berry is Deputy Chief Executive of the Property Care Association (PCA), the UK trade association representing specialists working across damp control, timber preservation, structural waterproofing, residential ventilation and invasive weed management.
Since joining the Association in 2016, James has played a key role in the development of technical standards, training, qualifications and industry guidance across the property care sector. His work has focused on improving standards, raising competence and supporting better understanding of building performance, moisture management and healthy indoor environments.
As part of the PCA’s executive leadership team, James works closely with members, government bodies, housing providers, regulators and wider industry stakeholders on technical, strategic and policy matters affecting the built environment. He regularly contributes to consultations, industry publications, technical guidance and sector events, particularly in relation to dampness, mould, ventilation and existing buildings.
James is passionate about improving professionalism and diagnostic standards within the industry, helping ensure consumers and property professionals have access to competent, evidence-led advice and solutions.
