James Wanless

I’m James Wanless, Partner at Kacey Recycled Plastics, and I’ve spent the past 25 years working in the recycled plastics industry. With a background in landscaping, I understand first-hand the practical challenges that come with using traditional timber products, particularly when rot, maintenance and replacement become ongoing concerns. Today, I work with customers across the landscaping, conservation and housing sectors to provide durable, sustainable alternatives to timber. My focus is simple: helping people find practical recycled plastic solutions that perform well, last longer and reduce the need to continually replace rotting timber products, ultimately providing costs savings. Outside of work, my love of nature and wildlife is a big part of what drives me. I enjoy walking and spending time outdoors, so helping businesses and organisations make more sustainable choices feels like a natural fit. For me, it’s about combining 25 years of industry experience with a genuine belief that we can build and maintain things in a more sustainable way.
