Rob Davidson

Rob Davidson is Strategy Manager for Community Wealth Building at South of Scotland Enterprise (SOSE), having joined the organisation in 2022. Prior to that, Rob served 15 years as a Councillor on Dumfries & Galloway Council, latterly as Depute Leader, and also worked for various MSPs including Dr Aileen McLeod, Scotland’s first Land Reform Minister.

Rob has a long-standing interest in regional economic development and community-led economic regeneration and, in that context, served in various roles including as the first Chair of the South of Scotland Regional Economic Partnership and an inaugural member of the Convention of the South of Scotland.

Rob is leading SOSE’s Community Wealth Building work, including piloting a progressive procurement approach to energy efficiency retrofit, and various strands of community benefit activity.
