Chris has 25 years of experience in the UK professional pest control industry. He joined the industry as a fresh-faced 18-year-old working summers for a large multinational pest control company while studying toward his Biochemistry degree. He returned to work full-time after graduation making progress in his career and later becoming Managing Director of Pest Solutions in Glasgow. Chris is a champion of raising up young talent in an ageing industry (40% due to retire in the next 10 years) with the majority of our team under 35 and 52% female (in a 5% female industry). This strategy of finding the very best talent and building a robust training framework has been the fuel that has driven Pest Solutions to 4x growth over the last 3 years with a 98% customer retention rate.

It was on the mandate of the work Chris has achieved at Pest Solutions that he was elected President of the BPCA (British Pest Control Association) in 2022. BPCA is the trade association for professional pest control businesses in the UK and is focused on driving professionalism within the industry.

Chris is one of 8 BPCA Master Technicians in the UK and is an expert in finding sustainable solutions to even the most stubborn public health pest infestations in multiple occupancy mixed-use residential/ commercial urban environments.

Pest Solutions was founded in 2015 and currently services Scotland and the North of England. Pest Solutions provides professional pest management and specialist bird control services for domestic and commercial clients. Our highly skilled team uses innovative, modern techniques to ensure effective, ethical, and environmentally responsible solutions.

Focusing on being a customer service company first and a pest management company second, with a team that delights in excellent customer service and professionalism. This mindset and approach has resulted in Pest Solutions being nominated as finalists and winners in multiple categories in the UK National Pest Awards and the BPCA Member Awards over the last four years. This accumulated in September 2024 with Pest Solutions being awarded both “Large Company of the Year” and “Pest Business of the Year” at the National Pest Awards.
