House Building in the East Midlands: Avant Gets Green Light for 79 Homes
Avant Homes has received approval to construct 79 homes in Leicestershire, with work on the £20m scheme due to begin in the winter.
The East Midlands branch of the housebuilder will undertake the £20 million multi-tenure project on a site near Hinckley.
Named Chestnut Acres and situated off Lychgate Lane in Burbage, the development will include a variety of two-, three-, and four-bedroom homes, featuring 11 of Avant’s energy-efficient designs.
Construction is scheduled to start this winter, with the first residents expected to move in by Autumn 2025.
Support extends past house building
The company has pledged approximately £900,000 in community contributions to support local services, education, and healthcare.
Avant Homes East Midlands’ managing director, Ben Felton, said: “As a business we are committed to providing quality new homes for everyone in popular locations.
“We know there is demand for housing in Burbage from people living locally or looking to move to the area in part because of the easy access to local amenities.
“We look forward to starting work on Chestnut Acres, to build a thriving community and provide a range of practically designed, energy efficient new homes for those that need them.”
Proven track record in the region brings hope
As of June 2024, they have delivered three PRS portfolios supplying 559 new quality new homes to their partners.
They also have a pipeline of over 500 affordable homes over and above the normal planning obligations to be delivered across 17 developments.
