Housing South Conference 2026

We’re delighted to be hosting the next in our series of housing conferences, focusing on the South of England. Housing South will take place at 15 Hatfields Conference Centre on 15 September 2026, bringing together the most influential figures from the region to discuss key priorities and outcomes.

London is at the centre of a housing crisis, and this conference will focus on three key areas; building affordable homes, improving energy efficiency in the home and tackling homelessness.

Affordable Homes in London:

The mayor of London has backed a significant house building process including £8.8bn stretching back to 2016 and running through to 2026 with a target of 140,000 new homes being built. It’s clear that more needs to be done to meet the needs of its citizens, but the challenges with planning applications, the need for more funding and inflationary pressures have seen these targets revised down. What can we do to meet these challenges and ensure housing stock is fit for purpose?

Energy Efficiency:

London has 3.5 million homes and accounts for over 35% of its emissions, whilst nearly 500,000 people are considered to be fuel poor. This means that it’s vital to have a robust energy efficiency programme in place to help underpin energy efficiency improvements. With the supply chain innovating rapidly, it’s essential that LA’s & HA’s understand how they can implement changes within their budgets to tackle this problem.

Innovation

It’s clear that the supply chain has an important role to play in working in partnership with the region’s stakeholders. It’s only working closely that real change can be made in an affordable way, this conference will facilitate a platform for solution providers to demonstrate new ways of working and offer practical solutions to the capital’s needs.
