Jones Homes has purchased land for 300 properties in Maltby

The Jones Homes properties are set to form part of their wider Lambcote Meadows project which will cover 39 acres.

UK homebuilder Jones Homes has unveiled its purchase plan for over 300 homes across its site in Maltby, featuring 205 private sale homes and 95 affordable properties.

The Yorkshire-based properties form phase two, three and four of the Lambcote Meadows project which will cover 39 acres in total.

This purchase follows the first phase of the project which encompassed 10 four- and five-bedroom houses, with nine of these now being completed.

Social implications of the project

The expansion of this project is set to see significant investment in local services through the planning agreement and aims to create a family friendly environment.

According to Jones Homes, the development will oversee growths of around £750,000 for education, £200,000 for sustainable transport, £75,000 for signal improvements at Queens Crossroads and £15,000 for bus stop improvements.

Alongside its financial growth, the development will feature a children’s play area and a public green open space.

Jayne Swift, sales and marketing director for Jones Homes Yorkshire, highlighted the family-value of the properties and the first-time buyer benefits.

Swift said: “Our plans will create an attractive neighbourhood with a selection of home styles that will appeal to a range of buyers, from those purchasing their first property to people seeking a bigger home for a growing family and those wanting to downsize later in life.

“Landscaping and open space are a major feature of our plans, and these will make this a desirable and enjoyable place to live and extend the community that has already begun to develop in phase one of Lambcote Meadows.”

The continuation of this project follows the announcement of discounts on a selection of new homes in Maltby during the first phase, aligning to the project’s commitment to provide affordable housing.

As stated by jones Homes, five of the Starter Homes at its Lambcote Meadows development features a 20 per cent discount on their market value.
