Persimmon Aim for Fourth Phase of Housing Development

Persimmon Homes Wessex has submitted plans for the fourth phase of its major residential development in Warminster, Wiltshire, proposing 266 new homes at Jubilee Gardens.

If approved, this phase will bring the total number of homes on the site to 722, with outline permission granted for up to 1,000 homes in 2020.

The latest proposal includes 61 properties designated for a local housing association, increasing the total number of affordable homes in the development to 300.

The local council has already approved sports pitches, changing facilities, allotments, and ecology areas for the site, reinforcing the project’s commitment to community infrastructure.

This phase is expected to generate a Community Infrastructure Levy payment of approximately £700,000.

Seb Spiller, managing director of Persimmon Homes Wessex, emphasised the company’s dedication to delivering affordable, high-quality housing while ensuring supporting infrastructure enhances the town’s long-term development.

I am pleased that Persimmon has submitted its latest planning application in Warminster, demonstrating our commitment to delivering low-cost, high-quality, much-needed homes in the town.

“Creating a sense of place as part of our mission to deliver a positive and lasting legacy is important to Persimmon, and we are evidently bringing that to Jubilee Gardens, not just through new housing, but the supporting infrastructure that goes with it,” he added.
