Housing Yorkshire 2026
Join us in Leeds for the next instalment of our regional housing conferences, which will bring housing professionals, policymakers, and community leaders together to share knowledge and outline a vision for the future. Housing Yorkshire 2026 will discuss the challenges and opportunities in social housing, focusing on how we can support communities with good quality, low carbon housing.
Why Yorkshire?
- Yorkshire has 23 housing associations and manage over 350,000 properties collectively
- There is an active plan to improve energy performance ratings, aiming for all homes to reach band C by 2030
- The UK Government’s Affordable Housing Programme will transform communities across Yorkshire
Retrofit Initiatives in Yorkshire
- Better Homes Yorkshire: This program offers a vetted supply chain for householders to purchase energy efficiency measures and provides grants and loans for councils, such as discretionary boiler replacement grants.
- Leeds City Region Warm Homes Fund: Focused on first-time gas central heating installations, it aims to improve energy efficiency in homes.
- York and North Yorkshire Retrofit Strategy: A long-term strategy running through 2034 to enhance homes via insulation, solar panels, and heating upgrades.
- Regional Skills Pilot: Funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, this program supports training initiatives to build capacity in the retrofit workforce across Yorkshire and the North East.
This is your opportunity to showcase innovative products, solutions and ideas which will help Yorkshire deliver on its aims and support net zero, build better communities and stimulate economic growth.
